Elevator speech & Review (22 September 2017)
The class start with elevator speech again in this week. And when the speech end. Dr.Priyakorn Teach us on her lecture that are focus on Ambient Intelligent, Physical computing and Wearable computers. And review the lesson.
Prototype (11 September 2017)
We start the week with elevator speech. Every group come up with their own style but, every group still not perfect. So, next week we need to improve and practice more.
And after that we've learn about how to make prototype. But, before we create a prototype. We need to think of a lot of idea. Then, choose the possible thing to make prototype. So, you can got the prototype that can be possible to make in the real life. If you don't make prototype and straight to make the product when you found the problem it's maybe too late.

Progression Presentation (28 August 2017)
This week every group have to present the things they've been researched and target group that they choose to focus on. Every group come up with useful information and they did very good except my group. Our work is very bad we don't focus on the thing that Dr.Sittha said. So, we have to come back and start from the begining again.
At the end of the presentation. Dr.Priyakorn start her lecture.
Era of computer
Era of computing is define the technology at that time which is show how the technology is going in that days.
First Era - Mainframe computer. Only big company that own a computer.
Second Era - Personal Computer. People have their own computer.
Third Era - Ubiquitous Computing. One people may have many computer. Example smart phone, tablet etc.
Ubiquitous Computing is when computer are a part of our daily life. In the form of objects. Example washing machine, air conditioner, refrigator etc.

Out-of-Classroom learning on Medical Tech Fair (8 September 2017)
On 8 September 2017 our group has been to Queen Sirikit National Convention Center to learning on Medical Tech Fair. There are many interesting technology. Here are some example of technology that we've seen.

Bicycle with game on monitor to inspire the patients to get physical therapy.
The wheelchair that can be move like bicycle for the patient that need physical therapy while they can be fun going around by them self.
The machine that test body balance of the patient.
The chair that can be move up the stair.

In my opinion, this is the most interesting technology that I've found in the fair. It is the machine that use to connect with wheelchair and it can get the patient up the stair without walking.
[Review] Slide 4
Dr.Priyakorn has teach on her lecture4. This lecture is about ambient intelligence(AmI), smart devices & smart environments, physical computing and wearable computing.
Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is where people are surrounded by technology that are embedded in all kinds of objects. Examples of AmI Applications Intelligent living room, Intelligent office, Intelligent classroom etc. And also smart device and smart environment are include in ambient intelligence.
Physical computing, is to create or develop the hardware that can program to communicate in the real world. Example television, microwave, dish washer, etc. Also, Arduino is the tool that can use to make physical computing.
Wearable computers are computers that can be worn on the body.

[Review] Slide 2&3
Dr.Priyakorn has teach on her lecture2 & 3. About half of the slide are review of the previous week.
This slide is going into detail of era of computing for each era
Mark Weiser is Chief Technologist of the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center. He is the first person that define ubiquitious computing at 1988AD. It is about computer that are around us in everyday life.

Ken Sakamura define the principle "Computing Everywhere" and he also developed TRON(The Real-time Operating System Nucleus)

[Review] Slide 1
Dr.Priyakorn has teach on her lecture1 their are many thing I've learn in this class. Example era of computing, Internet of thing, Object Identification, AML, Smart Home scenario, many of example for wearable computer which is separate into usable function and for fashion, many example of UbiComp applications/devices.
Era of computing is define the technology at that time which is show how the technology is going in that days.
Internet of thing is the interconnection via the internet of devices embedded in everyday objects. Enable them to send and receive data.
Object identification can be separate into 2 type which are optical and electronic. The optical tags has no electronic devices in it. It is just only the picture that contain information inside. For the electronic tags it has the electronic device inside and it can send and receive data.
Era of computing is define the technology at that time which is show how the technology is going in that days.
Era of computing nowadays
Internet of thing is the interconnection via the internet of devices embedded in everyday objects. Enable them to send and receive data.
Critter Catcher
Critter Catcher (Hardware)
Critter Catcher is the mop that can catch the critter without killing it. This is an interesting product that suggest by one of my friend I think it is a good example to show that creative thinking is very important. This is very simple product that no one ever think about it and its function is very good. And it also answer what user want.

KIWI P1 Laser Distance Meter
KIWI P1 Laser Distance Meter (Hardware-Software)
I've seen many interesting thing that my friend post it on Facebook and KIWI_P1 is one of it. KIWI_P1 is very easy to use. It can only measure mistake by +/- 2 mm. It has only one button but can be use as four modes follow the user habits. It can use to measure the distance in hard to reach spots. The disadvantage of KIWI_P1 is that it can't measure the length with transparent object.

Leap Motion
Leap Motion (Hardware-Software)
I've study about Leap Motion for a long time. I think it is very interesting technology. Leap Motion is an electronic device that use to plug in and install it software's. Then, you can control your computer with your hand via application without touching mouse or keyboard. It detect the movement of the hand by 3D infrared that can track the movement up to 150 degree and 200 frame per second. I think it is will be very goods thing if we apply it with good idea it maybe can do something to help handicap people in some ways.

Impactful Design (4 September 2017)
Dr.Sittha teach about impactful design and I've learn many thing like "Amazon Dash Buttons". I've seen that I don't have to thing for something that hard to make but I need to thing different and answer what user want.
And the another thing is the "picture of man sit in the room and read the book" teach me that when I want to do something, the important thing I need to do is investigate them to know what they want and what are they latent need.
The emotion is the important thing on the design too, like the headphone with the good sound has bad looking but, the headphone with the bad sound has good looking. So, they design the good looking headphone with the good sound.
And if you want to create an impactful design DON'T USE linear approach. Like if you wanna do something you do start to do it without investigate the user and the product will not answer what user want. So, you need to use the divergent-convergent thinking which you need to investigate the user and understand what are user need. Then, analysis the information you got and converge everything together to be your solution. For another method you can use Double-Diamond Model Of Design which is similar to divergent-convergent thinking but, Double-Diamond Model Of Design will do the research 2 times the first time we diverge the problem we discover and converge to define the scope of your project and the second time you diverge the solution as much as possible and converge to the solution that can work. Finally, you'll got the solution that can answer what user want.
So, to create impactful design Don;t think linearly. Diverge then converge. And don't forget to do the people value canvas to find the problem of your target group.
